I’m not the Pete Sears who played keyboards on Rod Stewart’s “Every Picture Tells a Story” (et al), Jefferson Starship’s “Red Octopus” (et al), and bass/keyboards/guitar/whatever alongside Jerry Garcia, Taj Mahal, Maria Muldaur, Jimi Hendrix, Dr. John and countless others, and on many classic albums since the 1960s. Sorry. If he sounds a lot more interesting than me, I quite understand. Have a look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Sears
This Pete Sears is just a retired software engineer/manager with a preference for causing as little suffering in the world as I can reasonably manage. This blog is to provide somewhere I can write about things I find interesting in the outside world, without upsetting my friends on social media if my perspective on them turns out to be a bit disheartening (or even a teensy bit cynical). Or just boring. So if you don’t like the content, that’s fine; it’s just a blog, and it’s up to you whether you read it or not.
People who like a more frivolous, personal and hopefully amusing view of my experience of the world since I retired might prefer my original blog:

Or if even that’s too much, maybe just cat videos.
